Landscape Architect
At my day job, I am a fully licensed Landscape Architect, practicing in the state of Illinois. In short, landscape architects design the outside/exterior environment and I have had the opportunity to assess, plan, and oversee the transformation of existing landscapes into functional and fun locations for relaxation and recreation. My professional experience has taught me how to collaborate with visionaries and other creatives, work as part of a team, and root my creations in the real world. I am a driven self-manager and prioritize merging my expertise with realizing my client's vision.
Artist
I have been sketching, designing, and creating for as long as I can remember. I became serious about advancing my artistic pursuits through the act of Urban Sketching (using art to record scenes on-site) during my college and early professional career and in-person sketching remains a passion. Over time, I have committed to drawing every day and have maintained the habit for several years. During this time, I have expanded my skills to include watercolor painting, marker rendering, ink drawing, and digital art ranging from quick creations to multi-day works.
